Conductor Lawrence Dale Harper and the orchestra present baritone Thomas Weis for “Songs of the Night” by Pablo Escande. The performance includes the world premiere of “Three Movements for Winds” by Keith Carpenter, and music by George Bizet.
The Wisconsin Wind Orchestra was established in 1995 and became the resident professional ensemble of Carroll College in 1998. The group features some of the finest musicians in southeast Wisconsin, many of whom are on the applied music faculty at Carroll, and is recognized as one of the only ensembles of its kind in the world. The ensemble blends tradition, innovation and technical versatility in its repertoire of master composers and new works.
